Ada Ho

Ada started her career in Energy in Australia as a graduate working for an energy retailer. Her first role included pricing for small to medium sized business customers for electricity before moving to another role where she was a spot Energy trader for both the domestic electricity and gas markets. This involved 24/7 operations from monitoring electricy generation, meeting market deadlines, planning and managing pipeline gas and being the first point of contact for the company during her duty hours. As the portfolio grew, she moved to becoming a Senior Gas Trader where her duties became planning the portfolio activities on a day to day basis to ensure it aligns with company direction and goals, whilst managing a small team to that focus on specific gas plants and pipelines within a certain geographical area. After working for 6 years in Australia, she decided to move back to her home town of Hong Kong and see where the opportunities there can take her. Since then Ada is now working in both the crude oil and LNG industry on the operations front, having experience with the whole chain from contracting, vessel nominations, independent inspectors, claims and even invoicing, requiring her to not only have to work with various internal departments but also loading terminals or other companies in the industry as well as customers who become the end users of the product.

Ada was educated in Australia and holds a degree in Commerce (majoring in Finance and Actuarial Studies) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia. She has also completed a Masters in Business Management from Monash university (Australia) and besides having native fluency in English and Cantonese, she can also speak Mandarin.

Ada enjoys hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends in her spare time. She enjoys meeting and chatting with people of different backgrounds and experiences as she believes understanding new cultures can bring a lot of insight into people's chain of thoughts and what shaped them the way they are today.
