Carlos began his professional career in the fertilizers industry in Guayaquil - Ecuador, working for DELCORP S.A. where he was responsible for establishing warehousing, production, supply-chain logistics and well as commercial development nationwide.
One of his stronger skills include commodity branding and supplier development including credit terms that ensures demand for most fertilizers that allow its customers to radically differentiate the company from its competitors sustaining growth through branded products that have prolonged life cycles with above average demand and profits supported by tailored customer service.
His other skills include: Bilingual expert negotiator and connector to get the Best Deals Signed Sealed and Delivered.
Application of Marketing Strategy and Company Policy adjusted to the need of the organization, proven operations – logistics experience, implementation of adequate procedures that guarantee administrative and financial efficiency through check and balance routines, multicultural team work and market sensibility to assure the best procurement procedures, prices and conditions on commodities for optimal production in most Industries.
After holding the General Management position for more than 7 years he moved to Quito to reestablish and strengthen the distribution of fertilizers and other commodities for Delcorp S.A.
Today Carlos has a well-established platform that focuses on ensuring fertilizer distribution forDelcorp S.A. on a regional basis from Quito that also include Exportable Ecuadorean commodities to the world, from Frozen Vegetables, Dairy products, Maiz, Rice, Cocoa, Organic Coffee, Tropical Fruit Juice concentrates to Feed grade Alfalfa Forages
Carlos has a broad vision of fertilizer and commodities trading across the America’s, due to commercial ties and alliances done with many top fertilizer producers, blenders and distributors from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. This insight has been valuable to many commercial partners that lowers the risk of International Traders that are new in commodities trading in Ecuador as well as in Andean region by ensuring business in a timely and more efficient manner
Finally, Carlos is also a licensed real-estate broker and has his own Brokerage firm that allows him to have firsthand insight on opportunities of Scare Resources such as prime public and private warehousing, available port discharge - stowage services, land distribution networks and logistics in general for any Trading Partners interested in expanding their trading routes to Ecuador and the Andean region.
Carlos holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Marketing and Retailing from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA, then he made an EMBA - Master´s degree in General Management in Guayaquil for working executives at IDE School of Business.
Carlos enjoys reading, learning new languages, coaching, new gadgets - computer technologies, updating knowledge of logistics & transport industries, entertainment industries, mountain biking, dogs, traveling and looks forward to a prosperous family life.
