Juan Cristobal Band del Rio

Cristobal started his career in 2002 with a forestry company based in Auckland, New Zealand. Then he worked as Derivatives Trader in Santander Bank, based in Santiago, where he was in charge of the sales and structuring of different type of derivatives products. Cristobal then integrated the international area in a health retail laboratory in Spain, where he was in charge on Latin America market and Middle East market. In 2007 Cristobal, comes back to Santander in Santiago, working as derivate trader to corporate segment, structuring products like CCR, IRS, FRA, and FW. In his last period on Santander Bank, he work in Private Banking area, administrate a portfolio valuated in usd M$75 millions. He then moved to Security Bank in Santiago, where he works like an Equity Trader, being in charge on trade in Chilean and oversees market like USA and Europe market.

Cristobal holds a Commercial Engineer degree from San Sebastian University in Chile. A Master on International Business from Pompeu Fabra University in Spain. A MBA in Universidad Catolica of Chile, with an internship, MBA Exchange Program in Fuqua School of Business from Duke University, USA. Was research assistant in finance. He also was member on the Private Equity & Venture Capital club and Finance Club. He also own a certificate like Equity & Fixed Income Trader, grade A, from Chilean Stock Exchange. Cristobal is fluent in Spanish and English.

Cristobal is passionate about soccer and different type of sport. He likes to read economics and companies papers, travel to different countries and play tennis, golf or practice ski.
