Matthew Bowen-Wright

Currently based in Bogotá, Colombia, Matthew is involved in the physical trading of oil, gas and refined products, primarily in the region of Latin America.

Prior to moving to Bogotá, Matthew was based in the UK where he had five years management consultancy experience with Deloitte Consulting specializing in strategy, operations and project management supporting multinationals and government agencies. He also worked for the Financial Services division of Whitehead Mann for more than two years where he developed experience in executive search.

Matthew currently leads a boutique business development agency that assists large corporations succeed international trade. He works closely with international trading houses and established oil and gas players, assisting them develop product acquisition and distribution. In addition, he works closely with venture partners on strategic investments in industrial and financial assets that compliment core trading activities.

Matthew has an international network of relationships spanning national oil companies, refineries, traders, independent producers and distributors. 

Matthew has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Newcastle in the U.K. and is a part qualified Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA). He is fluent in English and Spanish

Matthew has a passion for entrepreneurship and supports / invests in various start ups. He also enjoys many sports, to include rugby, polo and sailing.
