Orlando Castejon

Orlando started his professional career with PDVSA Petróleos S.A. in the Crude Oil industry in Venezuela.

He first joined the Trading and Supply Management of PDVSA, being responsible for all operational steps of the crude oil exports towards major oil companies such as Exxonmobil, Shell and BP, etc. Including transportation, storage, supervision and insurance of the quality product from the shore all the way to ship's tanks at loading port. 

For years, he held senior positions in crude oil trade operations, supervision planning of ship loadings, execution and control of operational activities in Oil Terminals from the office headquarter in Caracas – Venezuela.

He was then invited to join the commercial and trading division of the Marine Sales Management, being responsible for sales and trading performances of Offshore, Ex-Pipelines and Road Trucks deliveries of Marine Fuel, Marine Gas Oil and Marine Lubricants within all Venezuelan coast line. (He also experienced  “on the ground “ activities when he had to go on board bunker vessels watching the deliveries of the fuel at sea).

Orlando also participated in the development of projects such as Low Sulphur Fuel Oil production and in the development of procedures for the bunker operations and sales to meet standard requirements in Quality Systems (ISO-9000)

Over the past ten years, Orlando has built outstanding relationships with all the major international players: (traders, broker, ship owners, agencies and oil companies) in the crude oil, bunker and Marine Lubricants sector

Orlando holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a MBA from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela. (He also attended various seminars in Tanker Charter-parties Law and Practice at the University of South Hampton, England). He is fluent in English and Spanish.

In his spare time, Orlando enjoys swimming, Cinema and Sports (Base Ball, Football and Basket Ball). He also tries to devote as much time with his family.
