Pascal started his career with AREVA where he started and developped the group's renewable energy business in China. He was then appointed advisor to the CEO of the Mining Business Unit to support him in challenging times.
Having left AREVA, Pascal worked as internal M&A and strategic planning project manager at leading specialty paper producer Arjowiggins, being notably in charge or growth projects in Asia and Germany.
He subsequently joined a LBO to build and lead Japanese & Asian operations of DIAM international, world leader of point of purchase displays for the cosmetics and luxury industry.
He is now one of the partners at UPYA, a commodity trader focused on non ferrous metals and agro products, where he is in charge notably of Asian operations and the group's strategic planning, including investments downstream and upstream the value chain.
Pascal graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (X) in France.
He also holds a diplôme d'ingénieur (Master of Engineering) from Ecole des Mines Paristech and a Master of Arts in Finance and Strategy from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-po).
Pascal is totally fluent in French, English, Chinese, Japanese and German (and has some notions in Spanish, Italian and Korean).
Pascal is passionate about Japan and China.
He has founded several China and Japan oriented associations and is now President of the Asian chapter of Ecole polytechnique alumni association.
He is a keen lover of martial arts and has praticed Japanese martial arts for several years.
