Rodrigo Pinheiro Salvador

Rodrigo started his commodity trading career at an early stage within his family business. He later moved to the United States seeking to improve his skills as an International Trader. Upon his return to Brazil, he went to work on the textile sector, being in charge of the development of new commercial partnerships and the opening up of new channels. He was then offered to work for a company in the steel sector (with a focus in oil & gas). Despite his lack of knowleadge in this area, he managed to bring outstanding results in a very short time. Being in charge of building new strategic alliances between his company and companies abroad, he Successfully opened up the Brazilian market to big world players and positioning his company in the international area. During this time he greatly improved his skills, not only in international business, but also in logistics, credit rating, marketing, accounting and was eventually invited to work for Mitsubishi Corporation do Brasil, one of the biggest trading companies in the world. Being Commercial Chief of the Chemical Department, he was in charge of the development of Mitsubishi products in Latin America and the implementation of new opportunities to Mitsubishi. He worked closely to major companies in Brazil as a consultant and facilitator in several transactions. Rodrigo is currently working in his own trading company as Business Development Manager. He is focused in in the Brazilian commodities such as coffee, sugar, soy beans and orange internationally and bring new business opportunities to international companies. After more than 10 years in international trading business, he has developed both a strong background and network in commodity-related areas, with a particular emphasize in building long-term business relationships.

Rodrigo is a graduated in Foreing Business from the Universty Paulista, in São Paulo. He also been enrolled in several programs related to business at Harvard University. Rodrigo is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Rodrigo is passionate about soccer, and follows it closely. He also likes to go to the gym and play poker as a hobby.
