William Brown

William is President of WHB Energy Research LLC, an independent energy industry equity and commodity boutique providing analysis and trading/investment recommendations to hedge funds, mutual funds, oil and gas producing companies, energy consuming companies and high net worth individuals via either an annual subscription or commission-based service. WHB Energy Research LLC fills a major void by providing top-level fundamental research based on 40+ years of experience complemented by state-of-the-art AI and “conventional” quantitative modeling. WHB Energy Research LLC also engages in physical oil trading activity as an agent/intermediary and provides expert witness consultation and testimony. From 2003-2005 Mr. Brown established and managed an energy hedge fund for a single investor/client.

William holds a B.A. history, Brown University, 1973; M.A. international economics, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, 1975, including curriculum from the Columbia University Schools of Law, Business, and Journalism. Editor, Journal of International Affairs.

In his spare time William engages in competitive biathlon and competitive rowing (single scull). His primary musical instrument is the trumpet, and he also enjoys writing fiction novels and short stories.
