Dotun Bamisayie

Dotun started out his career as an Energy Assurance associate with global consultancy, PricewaterhouseCoopers where he horned his accounting and finance skills, rising to the level of Assurance Manager after about a decade working at its Lagos office. Critically, he built up an impressive war-chest of technical knowhow with respect to the entire value chain of the Energy Industry. Dotun has led teams focused on the review of the books of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream energy companies operating in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. He is a highly skilled chartered accountant who thoroughly understands how energy companies derive value. Working with hundreds of energy professionals across the oil, gas and electricity value chains, he has developed skills including but not limited to financial reporting, control reviews, business valuations, derivative valuations for financial reporting and due diligence engagements. Dotunjoined the upstream division of Oando Plc during its acquisition of ConocoPhillips in 2013. Here he led activities in financial reporting, financial analysis and derivative valuations as part of the acquisition and integration of ConocoPhillips Nigeria business by Oando Energy Resources in Calgary Canada. Dotun has utilized his time in Canada to engage with other top energy professionals in the Canadian energy hotbed of Calgary. As such he brings to the table his wide network of contacts and is capable of leveraging it to connect high quality professionals with our clients.

Dotun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is a member of CPA Alberta and an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigerian.

Dotun has great interests in building and growing small businesses and is also an avid reader of business literature.
