Job description:-PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB

Senior Business Analyst is responsible for business requirements gathering, requirements clarification and documentation of requirements. Works independently and provides guidance to others regarding highly complex functionality to support, enhance, and integrate multiple processes and applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as a primary liaison between business and development units within all cross-functional and external groups pertaining to or impacting the business.

Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures, business process, and systems.

Manages multiple priorities simultaneously, working towards successful and on-time completion.

Compiles detailed reports using data reporting tools and making recommendations based on their findings.

Applies the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle.

Implements, creates, and maintains effective business process standard operating procedures and automated solutions to facilitate efficient support of the audit with emphasis on software development best practices, quality, and timely delivery.

Applies the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle.

Ensures that functional testing is performed.

Documents the specifications, design, features and operation of applications prior to production roll out.

Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget.

Communicates technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner.

Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.

Support business required technology freeze periods.

Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system / technical requirements.

Communication between business service delivery and engineering teams.

Performance and quality of applications and business support systems.

Influences Solutions development and data requirements. Solutions enhancements to improve performance / availability.

Deep knowledge of business functional areas, business management issues and data analysis.

Ensures that products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements

Corporate application availability and delivery meets or exceeds negotiated SLAs and client/business objectives.

Contributes to the productivity of the organization through the completion of projects associated with departmental objectives.

Positive trending for customer satisfaction results.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Masters or Bachelors in Engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.

7+ years of experience in IT / Business Analysis.

Exposure to Agile / TDD / BDD based development

Exposure to Continues Integration, deployment & static code analysis Jenkins, Sonar

Hands-on experience in an of the RDBMS Sybase/Oracle/MS SQL Server, SQL/PLSQL

Exposure to business process workflow analysis such as JBPM, Mendix etc. experience preferred.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and adaptive capacity for rapidly changing priorities and workloads

Ability to work well independently and maintain focus in a highly dynamic work environment.

Comfort in working with team members that are remote and located in the US, India or other geographies

Ability to work within a matrix organization
