For one of the world's leading coffee merchant with global presence and for their offices in Geneva (Switzerland), we are looking for the following candidate whose role will be:

Primary Responsibility will be to take a leadership role in the financial closing and consolidation process. Ensuring reporting deadlines, quality data and timeliness of the financial reporting process. Issuance of financial statement and associated notes.

Ensuring support to all subsidiaries finance teams for the consolidation process

Ensuring control over the quality of financial information received from subsidiaries

Issuing proper guidelines regarding the reporting process

Implementing key control over the financial closing and reporting processes

Actively contribute to achieving the Accounting and Finance department’s objectives by executing related daily tasks with a strong attention to details and by respecting the set deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for the Group consolidation matters


  • Including multiple sub consolidations


  • Experienced with multi-currency environment and various consolidation eliminations (I/Co, taxes)


  • Coordination and understanding of deliveries across multiple offices and sub consolidations


  • Responsible for the issuance of financial statements in line with Group reporting requirements


  • Budgeting, budget to actuals and MGMT reporting


  • Responsible for the audit of various Group companies


  • Manage the Group consolidation ERP system, PM10


  • Propose automation of the consolidation process


  • Development and implementation of a Group reporting package


  • Performance management accounts for reporting to the Group


  • Variance analysis and justification


  • Compilation of financials statement templates with footnotes


  • Provide financial reports and financial analysis to help decision making


  • Set business objectives for team members and follow-on achievements


  • Put in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems


  • Be the super user of the Group accountings system and consolidation system


  • Actively participate in the IT implementations of accounting system


QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION


  • Minimum BA in Accounting or equivalent degree


  • Chartered accountant or other similar professional qualification


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience


  • 5 to 10 years working experience in accounting positions with increasing level of responsibility.


  • Responsibility for Group consolidation


  • Working knowledge of commodity business concepts and P&L drivers and risks


  • Computer literacy in excel, word and data bases


  • Working Knowledge of computerized accounting packages, experienced with SUN Accts and PM10


Technical Competences


  • Experience with divisional and corporate accounting matters


  • Experience in commodity industry, physical and futures


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook


  • Knowledge of basis commodity trading/commodity markets would be advantageous


  • Understanding of commodity futures, physical, logistics and costing methodologies


  • Experienced implementing Internal control design


  • Experience with financial statement presentation and annual audit process


Other Competences


  • Good business acumen


  • Professional communication skills and ability to work with people of varied cultures


LANGUAGES


  • Perfect spoken English


  • French would be an added advantage

  • Ability to work under stress and respond to tight deadlines.
