Traffic / Operator
For a niche base metals trading company with office in Lugano, we are looking for a Traffic/Operator candidate whose mission will mainly consist of:
- Execution and follow up of logistic and administrative issues related to the operations of physical non-ferrous commodities trading (aluminium and zinc).
- Processing all documentation from contract to final papers required, such as invoice, bill of lading, conditional / unconditional releases, Certificate of Origin, and others for mainly FOB, CFR, and CIF shipments.
- Preparing and reviewing stock reconciliation
- Invoicing
- Working closely with in-house traders, external brokers, agents at origin and destination, inspection companies, forwarders (sending instructions and follow up), suppliers, buyers to ensure the smooth flow of information between stakeholders.
- Handle Trade Finance tasks (documentary remittance, L/C negotiation...)
Requirements:
- About 2 years experience working in a Traffic position of base metals trading company
- speaks fluently English. German, French, Spanish would be an advantage.
- Valid Swiss work permit or EU citizen
- Understanding of pricing mechanism in hedgeable commodities (base metals)
- Strong organizational skill
- Team spirit
- Precise, efficient and dynamic with good resistance to stress
