For one bank in Geneva we are looking for a:
Credit Officer Analyst in Commodities Trade Finance
His main duties will be as follow (non-exhaustive)
- Performs an in depth analysis on credit requests including financial analysis, assessment of structure risk, price risk, country risk, supplier and off-taker risk, reputational risk etc... for the clients of bank which are mainly trading companies
- Checks the compliance of the credit file versus bank’s credit policies, processes and risk appetite and ensures sufficient quality of credit proposals
- Acts as a support to Relationship Managers (front) on transaction structuring, approval process management
- Provides a written credit opinion to local and global decision makers highlighting the key risks, mitigants or suggestions to improve the structure
- Participates in the local credit committee meetings
- Can hold an alternate decision making mandate for credit reviews and for transactions
- Ensures a proper administrative follow up of credit decisions and ensures the credit risks are correctly reflected in the credit reporting systems
- Ensures the review of the legal documentation from a credit risk point of view i.e. this reflects the credit decision properly and meets the Bank's standards
- Analyses and validates risk ratings
- Ensures with relationship management adherence to credit review targets
- Participates in client meetings
- Participates in interdepartmental projects representing Credit Risk Management
Skills Required:
- Technical knowledge:
- Good knowledge of corporate banking concepts and credit analysis
- Good knowledge of transactional trade financing (documentary instruments, terminology of international trade finance)

Professional and Educational Experience Required
- University degree (Master) or equivalent (CFA/GTSA)
- Min. 2 years of relevant banking experience of which min. 1 year in CTF
