Job Title: Sales Trader

Location: Beirut

Reports to: Head of book (in Geneva)

Department: Trading

Company info: One of the leading coffee trading companies in the world with over 40 years of history.

 

Summary of the role:

Responsible for a book of customers in the EMEA region to sell green coffee including stock management and further develop the book of customers by introducing also specialty coffee.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Maintain excellent customer relationship with extisting coffee roasters in the EMEA region by visiting them regularly and execute sales under the group's head of book recommendations

- Develop strong relationship with potential clients in order to increase sales volume while managing good price margin

- Ensure operations / logistics are running smoothly and work closely with the operation / execution department

- Maintain detailed records and generate requested reports as set by the Head of Book / Trade.

- Optimize volume and profitability targets of the book

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Qualifications and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance or any related field

 

Experience

3-4 years of experience in Trading, Operations or Supply Chain with commercial activities

 

Competences

Understanding of concept of hedging though futures and options

Stock management comprehension

Price margin concepts knowledge

Highly developed problem solving and organization skills

Punctual and efficient time-management skills

Develop interpersonal and communication skills

 

Languages

Perfect spoken and written English

Local languages a plus but not necessary

 

Other requirement

Ability to work on the move, including in mobile or remote environments.
