JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for SUSTAINABILITY activities in Ivory coast, aligned with SUSTAINABILITY regional and group’s strategy and policy. The country sustainability manager will manage a Team of +/-30 persons, with 6 direct reports, managing +/- 1000 coaches and head coaching in the cooperatives where the company buys cocoa in the Ivory Coast. He will be responsible for the farm service business in the country as well as managing certification, training, community development and specific pilots in the country.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing day to day farm service activity

Assuring certification in the cooperatives in line with the need of the group

Implementing community development programs

Implementing customer programs in line customer expectations

Managing our training center and seedling operations in the country

Setting up and efficient farm service supply center

 

REQUIRED ACADEMIC & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION


  • Masters in Agro Engineering,


  • French/English is a must


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Agro sustainability or equivalent experience in Agro business

Location Abidjan

Travel 35% in Ivory coast

Comfortable to travel in rural environments

  • Has worked in agro commodities, preferable in West Africa


  • Has successfully managed a business line (Sales/ distribution /farm service/ …)

  • Economic / engineering/ Agronomic background


  • budget and performance management,


  • Solid in reporting,

  • Can set-up businesses and understand P&L, Balance sheet and importance of cash flow management
