Operator in soft commodities

The Position

We are looking for an experienced operator back-office/execution in the commodities field. As member of operations team composed of 5 members, you will report to the operations manager and the management. You will be responsible for the execution of a variety of operations and documentation related activities. This includes overseeing of transactions from start to end, updating of the systems and the reporting the operational activities.

Specific tasks

▪ Handle all aspects of commodity contract administration and execution by coordination with respective investees/producers/exporters and service providers.

▪ Track and record daily the stocks movements with producers, storage facilities, ports.

▪ Check the logistics solutions which meet the highest level of efficiency, cost effectiveness.

▪ Calculate expense accruals that relate to investments.

▪ Develop and maintain relationships with service providers, producers and customers in a manner which creates operational synergies across the value/supply chain.

▪ Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner.

▪ Liaise with other departments, including risk, accounting/reporting and IT.

▪ Special projects and additional responsibilities/administrative functions as assigned.

Education, Skills and Qualifications

▪ BS degree in business administration or equivalent

▪ 4-5 years of similar experience in a mid-size trading company with execution of full range of responsibilities hereby described

▪ Fluent in English and French, written and spoken. Russian/Spanish/Portuguese a plus
