Job Summary:
Conduct day-to-day trading of sulfuric acid in the N American market. Source sulfuric acid from domestic producers and sell to domestic customers under spot and long term agreements. Develop new opportunities to grow company's footprint in the market. Understand the economics behind the transactions and how they contribute to the group P&L. Work to maximize profits.
Establish and grow strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Capitalize from these relationships to grow the business.
Monitor and assess market trends and intelligence in order to help develop trading strategy. Conduct in-depth analysis of certain regions/markets.
Maintain the N American position report, showing overall length or shortness in the domestic book. Help develop the annual budget and monitor performance through the year.
Complete RFQ’s in order to participate in certain market opportunities.
Oversee and coordinate the logistics movements of product from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Compile and distribute statistics to increase market awareness.
Provide timely and regular market information sharing within the group and company. Ability to meet deadlines when required.
Work well with domestic and international Sulfuric Acid team and traders in other areas, as well as with relevant intercompany departments involved in trading/commercial activity.
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years experience in chemical or industrial sales.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
· Familiar with chemical and/or industrial purchasing patterns.
· Ability to travel during the week.
· Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
· Able to work in Tampa, FL
· Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Language – English and Spanish preferred
